Sara is Teach For All’s Director for Public and Private Support for Europe and supports network organisations in the region on fundraising, public sector engagement, and placement.

Sara came to Teach For All from Dialogue Café, where she was co-founder and executive director. Dialogue Café is the world's first public video conferencing network specifically designed for social, educational, and cultural organizations, and is an initiative established by Cisco and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations. From 2007 to 2009, while at the Young Foundation (UK), Sara developed the global Social Innovation eXchange, a network of organizations and individuals involved in social innovation and entrepreneurship around the world. Before that, she was responsible for managing pioneering e-participation and e-gov and projects with the Portuguese government.

Sara has a BA in Political Science and postgraduate studies in Democracy and Citizenship, was a member of the Jury for the European Social Innovation Prize for the period of  2012-2014, and is currently an expert evaluator for the DG Connect on Horizon 2020 projects.

In the NEWTT project, Sara sits in both the Steering and Management Committees.
