Teach For Romania

Founded in 2013, Teach For Romania is the fastest-growing non-profit organization in education in Romania.  Teach For Romania’s vision is to create life options for all children in Romania by providing them access to a high-quality education.  The organization hopes to accomplish this by recruiting the nation’s most promising young university graduates, training them to become inspirational teachers, placing them as regular teachers in disadvantaged schools, and supporting them as change agents in transforming Romanian education.  Teach For Romania currently has 39 such teachers working in schools across 11 counties in southern Romania, impacting more than 6,000 students.
